"GET MORE CONTROL" over when a customer visits, by having your own

Company Branded APP" ! !

No longer can we just stand by and rest on our laurels hoping that “things will pick up.” It would be great if we had a crystal ball in order to predict when our customers were going to visit. It seems that marketing systems are evolving at a light-speed rate for all types of business especially during the covid pandemic.

Restaurants for example urgently had to change their business model on a dime. Instead of focusing on the in dining experience restaurant owners had to transition to a takeaway model using 3rd party apps in order to help deliver this outcome. Unfortunately for may businesses profit margins were somewhat eroded as a significant percentage was charged in order to use the app and have the delivery service paid for. Let’s be fair dinkum, this was a small price to pay in order to keep the doors open. Many thousands of more businesses would have had to shut the doors if these technologies were not available.

Hard to believe that some of these services actually increased their fees charged during that uncertain time.

When the Apple Store launched in 2008 with 500 apps nobody really new what to expect from that part of the business. Many were sure it was going to be winner and let’s face it, Apple Research and Development are not going to invest big bucks unless they know it's going to be winner.

Fast forward twelve years and there are around 1.85 million different apps available for consumers. Google pla y store has over 2.5 million and growing.

Going back to the keeping ahead of the game, in particular restaurants. There were some very astute owners who launched their own APP through IOS and Google Play giving them more control over their marketing dollar for their business.

All their customers who downloaded the app could easily now order directly on the app saving the restaurant a tremendous amount of fees. The restaurant would have the food ready for pick up which was a welcome relief for the consumer market. Of course they never knocked back any of the delivery app services business, however when they could engage their own marketing and offer incentives if customers visited at a certain time was a game changer.

It further proof that business owners who keep ahead of the game in regards to their marketing will prosper. Years ago nobody really thought a website was required. Now, if you don’t have one you your business is not credible.

By having an app as part of your suite of services provides your business with a “Next Level Credibility.” It shows your potential clientele that you’re serious about your business and willing to work on ways to make it easier for your audience to transition to being a customer.

Even if non customers that look at multiple times through the day have your app installed on their phone can one day be your next customer. You can send them promotions in very intelligent ways that are of value and can turn them into a customer very quickly.

This is the next “ICE” Intelligent Customer Engagement. It’s real and will help any business get ahead of the game. It is brilliant as you can have some control over your customers habits and engagements through their journey.

Keep in mind the average person checks their phone around 150 times per day.
